We are delighted to announce the commission of 25 new works as part of ANAM Set 2026 and 2027, to be premiered in our musicians’ recitals across the next two years.
Generously supported by the Anthony and Sharon Lee Foundation, the initiative pairs Australian and New Zealand composers with ANAM musicians to compose new works for one or two instruments.
By the end of 2027, ANAM will have commissioned and premiered 130 new works as part of the ANAM Set project, and you can view and listen to the current catalogue of works via the button below.
ANAM Set panel member and former ANAM Set composer Melody Eötvös described reviewing submissions as “a privilege to listen to such diverse, exemplary and inspiring submissions,” noting the thoughtful discussions across the panel.

Melody Eötvös
“I am very much looking forward to seeing these selected composer’s works come to life through the ANAM Set programme over the next few years, and it will be a privilege to witness how these compositions evolve through the composer–performer collaborative process, and to experience the unique musical places they will create in this country and on this land.
This experience has not only reinforced my appreciation for the ANAM Set initiative but has also strengthened my belief in the vital role it plays in nurturing and showcasing all levels of composition in Australia, and the many unique voices we have amongst ourselves.”
