MusiciansRobin Hall

Robin is in his second year at ANAM, under the tutelage of Karina Filipi and is particularly looking forward to honing his chamber music and orchestral skills.

Immersed in music from a young age, Robin began playing tuba in Grade 5 at primary school in Dubbo, NSW and was fortunate to participate in three overseas tours during high school. Robin completed a Bachelor of Music (Performance) at the Australian National University in 2023, studying under Bjorn Pfeiffer. During his studies, he gained invaluable experience performing in the Band of the Royal Military College Duntroon, Australian National University Orchestra, and the National Capital Orchestra.

Robin has a deep passion for music education and relishes passing on the art of music making. He also enjoys performing with brass bands and quintets around Melbourne. Highlights of his time at ANAM include performing Brahms’ Symphony No. 2, Janacek’s Katya Kabanova, Russell’s Suite Concertante for tuba and wind quintet, two brass ensemble concerts, and his recital.

When not in the practice room, Robin enjoys spending time in the kitchen, going to the gym and unwinding with a good book or puzzle.
