The ANAM Concerto Competition is an essential part of the performance training. It helps the musicians gain valuable experience and a deeper understanding of what it takes to perform solo with an orchestra. The competition starts in Semester One, where interested musicians record a 20-minute excerpt of a concerto or significant solo work of their choice. These recordings are then reviewed by an expert panel, who select the best performances to move on to the second round.

The musicians who progressed to the second round are competing to be one of the three finalists who will get the exciting opportunity to perform with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra later in the year.

Repertoire and artists to be announced.

The ANAM Concerto Competition is a partnership between ANAM and the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, and is generously supported by Lady Potter, AC.
