ANAM Recital: Ethan Seto

As a musician’s instrumental proficiency develops, so too does their artistic taste and temperament. Each ANAM musician’s recital is a snapshot in time – simultaneously summarising their year of training and revealing glimpses of their future selves. What music excites them? What do they want to communicate? How does their art help them understand the world better? Hear what the next generation of virtuosi have to say, and how, in the 2025 ANAM Recital series.

Sorrow and Joy
"This program was carefully curated to showcase some of the most beautiful melodies from the oboe repertoire. Each of the three works juxtapose mournful slow movements with lively fast movements, taking the audience through an emotional journey that ends with celebration, nostalgia, and longing.

I am absolutely thrilled to be able to present this recital with truly such a fantastic group of ANAM musicians. This chamber music setting will involve close collaboration and discussion, which I'm very much looking forward to. It's going to be a lot of fun!"
