As a musician’s instrumental proficiency develops, so too does their artistic taste and temperament. Each ANAM musician’s recital is a snapshot in time – simultaneously summarising their year of training and revealing glimpses of their future selves. What music excites them? What do they want to communicate? How does their art help them understand the world better? Hear what the next generation of virtuosi have to say, and how, in the 2026 ANAM Recital series.
Where It All Began
"This recital is a bit of a full-circle moment — bringing back music that first shaped my love for the clarinet, alongside a world premiere inspired by home. From the charm and colour of Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet to the expressive storytelling of Schumann, and Elizabeth Jigalin’s Three Arboresques inspired by Sydney Harbour, it’s a musical homecoming, with a mix of nostalgia through the years, fresh sounds, and everything in between."
