ANAM Recital: Emica Taylor

As a musician’s instrumental proficiency develops, so too does their artistic taste and temperament. Each ANAM musician’s recital is a snapshot in time – simultaneously summarising their year of training and revealing glimpses of their future selves. What music excites them? What do they want to communicate? How does their art help them understand the world better? Hear what the next generation of virtuosi have to say, and how, in the 2026 ANAM Recital series.

When Two Waters Meet
"Coming into my final year at ANAM, it felt meaningful to present a recital that celebrates the collaboration and inspiration I’ve experienced here, and the connection that musicians and audiences also share around the world. Inspired by Jessie Leov’s when two waters meet, which will be premiered in this concert as part of the ANAM Set 2026, the program explores the idea of two waters as a meeting between people. Each work is shaped by a personal connection in the composer’s life that sparked the creation of the music."
