As a musician’s instrumental proficiency develops, so too does their artistic taste and temperament. Each ANAM musician’s recital is a snapshot in time – simultaneously summarising their year of training and revealing glimpses of their future selves. What music excites them? What do they want to communicate? How does their art help them understand the world better? Hear what the next generation of virtuosi have to say, and how, in the 2026 ANAM Recital series.
Shining Forth
"As I come to the end of my time here at ANAM, it is time to shine forth into the big world of
music.
This recital, when compared to my previous two, reflects my changing musical and artistic tastes: from the
lush early twentieth century French and Belgian sounds of Pennequin and Jongen, to the wild and
wonderful gestures of Matthias Pintscher, and even a brand-new work by a homegrown composer. The
works presented today are sure to excite, provoke, and charm audiences." — Lewis Grey
