Every musician who trains at ANAM receives a full scholarship and the support needed to focus entirely on the intensive ANAM program. This extraordinary opportunity is made possible through philanthropy and ensures that talent alone determines who comes to ANAM.
Philanthropy support makes the standard of excellence at ANAM possible. Your generosity is what allows it to endure.
"ANAM musicians are lovely young people who have worked really hard to get where they are. I could have just given money, but I like the way the ANAM Syndicate program gives me a connection to my giving."
- Ann Grant, ANAM Syndicate donor
Ann Grant and musician Josephine Daniel (QLD) clarinet
ANAM Studio Program
The Studio Program at ANAM provides instrument-specific training. Each studio – Piano, Upper Strings (Violin, Viola), Lower Strings (Cello, Bass), Brass, Percussion, Woodwind – is led by an expert Faculty member and provides regular performance practice, guest masterclasses, repertoire workshops, audition practice and peer-to-peer learning, where musicians share feedback and ideas with one another.
As a Studio supporter, you will witness the progress of that group of exceptional young musicians with opportunities to attend their classes, workshops and concerts.
“I am so grateful for my supporters - they have acted as friends who I can share the highs and challenges of ANAM life...and are empathetic to the struggles of a young person and musician.”
- Noah Lawrence (alum 2024, cello) Sydney Symphony Orchestra Fellow 2026
ANAM Syndicate Program
Joining the Syndicate Program means becoming part of a small group (a syndicate) supporting one exceptional young musician for the duration of their time at ANAM – typically three transformative years.
You will follow their journey from promising apprentice to emerging professional, attend their performances and witness their artistic development. Many supporters will forge an enduring connection with the artist whose career they help make possible.
"I’ve built lovely relationships with my syndicates and have had many inspiring conversations with them.” - Heesoo Kim (QLD) cello
