I Dream of Queen (Elisabeth)
"Earlier this year a major cello competition was held, and that was the Queen Elisabeth Competition. I watched a lot of the performances, and was very inspired by the different interpretations of many of the same pieces, and was also impressed by how the competitors kept so much repertoire at such a consistently high standard. I loved many of the pieces, some of which I was hearing for the first time, and thought, “why don’t I learn these pieces and see how it would feel to present a program like this.”
