AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

To secure your place in ANAM’s Performance Program, all applicants are required to meet the eligibility criteria and complete the three-step online application process.

ELIGIBILITY

AGE 

Applicants aged 28 and below on 1 January 2024 are eligible to apply for ANAM’s Performance Program in 2024. Applicants born on or before 1 January 1995 are ineligible to apply.    

CITIZENSHIP STATUS

Applicants must be either an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident, or a New Zealand Citizen to be eligible to apply. Proof of citizenship or residency will be requested at application. Applicants who provide false information will have their place in the ANAM Program revoked.

ANAM is now accepting applications for our 2024 Training Program on Double Bassonly.    


HOW TO APPLY 

STEP 1 – ONLINE APPLICATION

ANAM is now accepting additional applications for our 2024 Training Program on Double Bassonly, commencing Semester 1 in 2024.

STEP 2 – ROUND ONE AUDITION

You will receive a Google Drive link to upload the Round One audition requirements on Thursday 25 January, after applications have closed.  

All files (Audio-Visual recordings and written material) must be clearly labelled and submitted online via Google Drive by 11.59pm AEDT Monday 11 March 2024. If you encounter any issues uploading your files, please contact study@anam.com.au 

Applicants will be notified of the result of their Round One audition by Wednesday 13 March 2024.  

STEP 3 – ROUND TWO INTERVIEW 

Successful applicants selected for Round Two will be required to attend a live interview online via Zoom.

Online interviews will take place on Friday 15 March or Monday 18 March 2024. Online interviews will be attended by ANAM’s Artistic Director, relevant Faculty, and a member of Program staff.  

ANAM reserves the right to change and amend audition dates and requirements at any time. All audition materials are collected and stored for the sole purpose of assessing the outcome of your 2024 ANAM application. Recordings are viewed by the ANAM Faculty panel.

  • Day One: Friday 1 March (all musicians required)  
  • Term 1:  Friday 1 March – Sunday 21 April  
  • Term 2:  Monday 29 April – Sunday 30 June  
  • Term 3:  Monday 29 July – Sunday 22 September  
  • Term 4:  Monday 30 September – Sunday 1 December
