Yena Choi began her violin training at the age of three and has since built an impressive career in both classical and contemporary music. She holds a Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours, an Australian Postgraduate Award for a Masters in Philosophy of Music, and is an ANAM Alumn. Yena has performed with major Australian orchestras, London's Royal Opera House Orchestra, Academy of St Martin in the Fields, and BBC Concert Orchestra.
Yena’s global performances span venues like the Sydney Opera House and London’s Royal Albert Hall. She has played for figures such as four Australian Prime Ministers, US President Barack Obama, and Indian PM Narendra Modi. Yena has appeared in performances on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Ellen Show, and in 2021, two of Yena’s recordings were taken into space on Blue Origin Mission NS-18.
Beyond the classical realm, Yena has collaborated with artists like Eminem, Hans Zimmer, Ed Sheeran, Michael Buble, Bruce Springsteen, and Ms. Lauryn Hill. She served as a violinist for Hamilton in Australia and is concertmaster of the Dan Fontaine Orchestra. Yena has worked as a creative collaborator for high-end brands such as Cartier, Patek, Bvlgari, Tiffany and Co., Fendi, and is a regular performer at Australian Fashion Week.
