Sola is a violinist in her third year at ANAM under the tutelage of Adam Chalabi and Zoë Black. Prior to ANAM, she obtained her Bachelor of Music at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music under Michele Walsh and Natsuko Yoshimoto.
Some recent highlights at ANAM include performing side by side with Sydney Symphony Orchestra, working with Kate Tempany on a new composition, and exploring musical improvisation with friends. Previous highlights of Sola’s undergraduate studies include a performance of Stravinsky’s Violin Concerto with the Conservatorium orchestra, working with conductors such as Johannes Fritzsch and Larry Rachleff, and joining the Conservatorium’s gamelan orchestra.
Sola is a passionate chamber musician. She has been fortunate to take part in chamber music festivals such as Musical Chairs in Montreal, the Australian Festival of Chamber Music and the Stradbroke Chamber Music Festival. With her string trio, she won the 4MBS Chamber Music Prize in 2021.
Sola looks forward to performing with the Australia World Orchestra this year and continuing her exploration of all kinds of music.
