Raistlin has enjoyed a life devoted to the violin and is dedicated to building genuine connections with every audience. He is excited to join ANAM in 2026, under the tutelage of Adam Chalabi and Zoë Black whilst concurrently pursuing his Bachelor of Music at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, University of Melbourne.
Raistlin's career as soloist and chamber musician has seen him awarded top prizes at the Australia Concerto and Vocal Competition, Astral Salon Outstanding Soloist Competition, Bach International Music Competition, Music Society of Victoria's String and Chamber Music Competitions, and Musica Viva's Strike a Chord Competition. He was awarded first prize at the Preston Symphony Orchestra Youth Concerto Competition 2025 playing Saint-Saëns' Violin Concerto No. 3.
Raistlin is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School (VCASS), under the mentorship of Sophie Rowell and Monica Naselow. While at VCASS he was awarded his AMEB Licentiate in Music with Distinction and was generously supported by the Robert Stolz Viennese Music Society Scholarship, the Music Matinee Scholarship and the Simon Hisheh Scholarship Award.
A keen orchestral player, Raistlin has performed with the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra as part of Melbourne Youth Orchestra's side-by-side program, and as Concertmaster of the VCASS Chamber and Symphony Orchestras.
Raistlin attributes his rich artistic development from the guidance of Elizabeth Layton, Rachael Beesley and Fintan Murphy.
