Ciaran begins his first year at ANAM in 2026, studying under Peter Neville and John Arcaro.

Born and raised in New Zealand, Ciaran began his musical journey in 2014, learning percussion from Jonathan Tressler. Upon completing his ATCL Diploma, Ciaran completed a Bachelor of Music at the University of Canterbury studying under Justin DeHart.

Ciaran is an accomplished percussionist and has performed with Christchurch Youth Orchestra, New Zealand Symphony Orchestra National Youth Orchestra (NZSO NYO) from 2021-2025, Pandemonium Percussion, and Christchurch Symphony Orchestra (CSO).

Ciaran's highlights include his first performance with NZSO NYO presenting Shostakovich's Symphony No. 7 Leningrad, performing John Psathas' double concerto The All-Seeing Sky in 2025, John Williams scores with the CSO, and collaborating with his musicians friends in New Zealand.

Ciaran is a dedicated teacher and loves working with students to reach their goals on drum kit and percussion.

In his spare time, Ciaran enjoys photography, drawing, and playing Frisbee golf with friends.
