Hailing from Brisbane, Alyssa commences her first year at ANAM in 2026, under Damien Eckersley.
While studying for her Bachelor degree at the Queenland Conservatorium, Griffith University, under the tutelage of Phoebe Russell (alum 2012), Alyssa was awarded the Jim Massie Memorial Prize and Piatti Prize in 2025. A passionate chamber musician, Alyssa and her group won the Ross Peters 4MBS Chamber Music Prize in 2024.
Alyssa was appointed Australian Youth Orchestra (AYO) Principal Bass in 2024 and led the double bass section on the AYO International Tour 2025, performing in renowned European halls including the Musikverein, Vienna and the Royal Concertgebouw, Amsterdam. Alyssa continues as Principal for AYO's 2026 seasons in Melbourne and Darwin.
Alyssa was a member of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra Academy in 2025, deepening her orchestral craft. An engaging and expressive musician, she has featured as a soloist with the Queensland Conservatorium, Queensland Youth Symphony, and Brisbane Symphony Orchestra.
Outside of music, Alyssa loves travelling and spends her spare time sewing and watching films at the cinema.
