ANAM Radio: ANAM at NGV

ANAM Radio: ANAM at NGV
Wednesday 26 August 2020

This week on ANAM Radio, we feature our exciting collaboration with the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV).
Inspired by the NGV’s Australian Art collection at the Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia, ANAM musicians curate and perform musical responses to artworks in the Collection.

NGV’s Sophie Gerhard and ANAM’s Peter Neville discuss the history of the artwork and the inspiration behind each musical response followed by a viewing of the performance.

For this first instalment of the three-part program, you’ll see ANAM musicians Alex Meagher and Molly Collier-O’Boyle, and alumna Eliza Shephard (flute 2018) give structured musical improvisations to esteemed Australian surrealist James Gleeson’s Massive journey of personally nocturne’d objects and Australia’s foremost painter of suburbia Howard Arkley’s Actual fractual.
