Special guest violist Caroline Henbest joins the Mostly Mozart series for a morning of beautiful string playing.

Carl Nielsen’s Suite for String Orchestra was one of the composer’s earliest works and remains his most widely performed work today. Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto, completed in 1791, the year of Mozart’s death, marked his farewell to instrumental music. Christopher Hogwood has arranged the concerto for the rich sonorities of the viola maintaining the works great melodic and formal richness. A great work of happiness and sadness, of hope and resignation.

The Mostly Mozart series of concerts provides an hour of wonderful music and the chance to catch up with friends over a cup of tea with classical masterpieces performed in the acoustic beauty of Elisabeth Murdoch Hall.
