Commissioned by the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) as part of the ANAM Set 2027 and written for Daniel Casey, to be premiered during ANAM’s 2027 recital season.

About the composer:
Connor Fogarty is an Australian composer of solo, chamber, choral, symphonic wind, and orchestral music. He holds a PhD in music composition from the Elder Conservatorium of Music, University of Adelaide, where he studied under Professor Graeme Koehne and Professor Charles Bodman Rae. Connor's works have been performed and recorded by ensembles such as the Australian String Quartet, Australian Youth Orchestra, and Adelaide Wind Orchestra, and by leading musicians such as Celia Craig, Umberto Clerici, and Daniel de Borah. He has received grants and awards for his work from organisations such as CreateSA, Helpmann Academy, Carclew, Artology, and the Accompanists’ Guild of South Australia. A recent career highlight was the commissioning of his new chamber concerto Threads by the Australian High Commission, Singapore, which premiered at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory as part of the High Commission’s 60th Anniversary Gala by Opus Novus.
Connor is based in Adelaide, South Australia, Kaurna Country.
