Described as a "real talent" by the Wall Street Journal, Australian pianist Andrea Lam has performed with leading orchestras across Australasia, Japan, China, and the United States, including the Hong Kong Philharmonic and all major Australian symphony orchestras. After two decades in New York, Andrea has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Sydney Opera House.
In 2024, Andrea’s engagements include performances with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, and Sydney Symphony Orchestra, along with chamber concerts at UKARIA and the Melbourne Recital Centre. A passionate chamber musician, she was the pianist of New York’s Claremont Trio and regularly collaborates with prominent ensembles and soloists.
Andrea is a Semifinalist of the 2009 Van Cliburn Competition and winner of the ABC 'Young Performer of the Year' Award. She is currently a Lecturer in Piano at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, holding degrees from Yale and the Manhattan School of Music.
