Originally from Sydney, Daisy completed her Bachelor of Music (Performance) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under the tutelage of the late Associate Professor Alice Waten. Her other mentors include Timothy Kantor, Dr. Evgeny Sorkin, and Associate Professor Goetz Richter, whose combined dedication and generosity have been indispensable to her evolution as a musician.
Daisy has also had the privilege of pursuing further study at the Royal Academy of Music in London where she was a student of Sophie Langdon and Hu Kun. During her time in the UK, some special experiences include performing at Royal Festival Hall alongside London Philharmonic Orchestra members, performing as associate concertmaster of the Royal Academy’s symphony orchestra under the baton of Edward Gardner, and recording with Linn Records conducted by Ryan Wigglesworth.
Music has taken Daisy across Australia and Europe. During the final year of her bachelor’s degree, Daisy toured Europe with her conservatorium’s symphony orchestra where they had an immensely joyous time performing throughout UK and Germany. She has also toured nationally with the Australian Youth Orchestra under the baton of Sir Mark Elder. Alongside her quartet, she has received tutelage from members of the Goldner String Quartet and Merz Trio at the Australian Festival of Chamber Music in Townsville.
Daisy was awarded several scholarships from the Sydney Conservatorium Music. She has also been a recipient of the Emerging Artist Grant from the Ian Potter Cultural Trust and a finalist in the NSW Doctors Orchestra Instrumental Scholarship.
Most recently, Daisy performed with the Opera Australia Orchestra as a casual musician and was also invited to join their fellowship program. In 2025 Daisy is in her first year at ANAM, studying with Adam Chalabi.
