A compelling evening of music for brass and percussion directed by two international symphonic leaders – the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s Principal Percussion Cynthia Yeh and the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s Principal Horn, Andrew Bain.

  • This diverse program takes you from the Venetian Renaissance, and the antiphonal music of Gabrieli, to music receiving its world premiere, a major new work commissioned by ANAM from Australian composer Gerard Brophy
  • Morten Lauridsen’s contemporary classic – his choral setting of O Magnum Mysterium – shines anew in this beautiful arrangement for brass ensemble
  • Inspired by a passage from JRR Tolkien’s The Silmarillion, Mark Schultz’s Dragons in the Sky is an energetic and colourful aural flight in which acoustic and electronic worlds meet
