Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro features everything you’d find in a modern-day soap opera: revenge, disguise, love, trickery and a wedding thrown in for good measure.
This classic comedy has been entertaining audiences for centuries and between the witty, fast-moving libretto and the melodic, charming writing, it’s not hard to understand why. This arranged version of the opera for wind octet includes all the soaring melodies, brilliant arias, duets, trios and that sparkling overture. Bethany Simons provides an entertaining narration so no twist, turn or character goes unnoticed.
The Mostly Mozart series of concerts provides an hour of wonderful music and the chance to catch up with friends over a cup of tea with classical masterpieces performed in the acoustic beauty of Elisabeth Murdoch Hall.
