Our experience with participating by means of the ANAM Syndicate program in supporting young musicians has been an overall resounding joy. My partner and I have been part of this amazing and engaging program to support, in our case several young cellists, for the past nine years. This has brought us immense pleasure and provided us with an insight into the development not only of these musicians but also to the wonderful institution that ANAM is.
We have been thoroughly blessed to have engaged with and supported six wonderfully gifted cellists, all of whom have graduated from ANAM as extraordinarily accomplished musicians who have taken up roles both abroad and within Australia’s finest symphony orchestras. The most satisfying aspect of being involved with ANAM is to witness the development of these highly talented young musicians as they progress through the training and emerge ready for the world stage.

Whilst we have had limited social time with our musicians due to heavy work loads, on those occasions when we have met, our experience has been further enriched as we learn of their dreams and ambitions, and their history as to how they arrived at this moment in time.
It is immensely rewarding for us to follow their journey as they enter the wider musical realm.
