Bird Song: ANAM at MPavilion

Come on a sonic journey of birdcall in a program of music inspired by nature’s own musicians. Featuring music by Australian composers, Ross Edwards, Richard Meale and Kate Tempany, as well as Debussy’s sensual flute solo Syrinx, join us for this concert of vivid musical moments.

This concert is the first in a series of intimate mid-morning concerts featuring some of the country’s most exceptional young musicians from the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM).

MPavilion is Australia’s leading architecture commission. Conceived and created by Naomi Milgrom AC as an initiative of the Naomi Milgrom Foundation, MPavilion celebrates a decade as the country’s cultural laboratory in 2024 by welcoming Pritzker Prize Laureate Tadao Ando as the tenth MPavilion designer.

As part of MPavilion’s five-month festival of free events, ANAM musicians will give three performances in this iconic design space in February 2024.
