ANAM is delighted to perform a stunning program of music by Ludwig van Beethoven for the Camberwell Music Society. In a celebration of the music of Beethoven, the concert will open with a performance of Beethoven’s iconic Moonlight Sonata - a work that has entered the public consciousness as much for its wildly dramatic finale as for the dreamily reposeful opening movement that inspired its nickname. This will be followed by Beethoven’s ground-breaking first string quartet, Opus 18 No 1, the first of 16 genre-defining quartets that both charmed and baffled contemporary audiences.
