8 - 17 February
ANAM is proud to continue its close partnership with the Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO) in 2020. ANAM and ACO musicians will combine forces in February in the ACO’s electrifying season opener, touring to venues in the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria.
Richard Tognetti will lead this expanded ACO through the beloved composer’s first three symphonies. The effervescent Symphony no. 1 and spirited Symphony no. 2 open the program, paving the way for the composer’s third, and arguably most electrifying, symphonic achievement: the magnificent Eroica. This beloved juggernaut rises beyond its initial dedication to Napoleon Bonaparte to encompass heroism, disillusion and grandeur.
