Oriole String Quartet was formed in 2021 at the Royal College of Music. Recent performances outside the string quartet genre include Elgar’s Introduction and Allegro at the Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall, and Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater with conductor Massimo Taddia. The Quartet has received coaching from professors including Mark Messenger, Bartholomew LaFollette, Alexander Gilman, and Eckart Runge (Artemis Quartet), and they have just completed an intensive period of study with Quartetto di Cremona at the Stauffer Academy in Cremona. In March, they will also travel to Vienna for a collaboration with students at the MDW Academy. The quartet and its members are grateful for the support of the following: Harrison-Frank Family Foundation, the Hattori Foundation, the Linbury and Amaryllis Fleming Scholarships, the Beare’s Society, as well as a number of anonymous charitable trusts.
