Sounds of War

Preseting a selection of beloved European classics, ANAM Musicians present a miniature festival jam packed with chamber music repertoire.

This first program ”Sounds of War” takes the listener to the heart of a creative process residing in the grim circumstances of war. Janacek’s Capriccio was an idea by a pianist who had lost an arm in WW1, Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time was composed at a prisoner of war camp during WW2. Stravinky’s Soldier’s Tale fuses elements of the Faust myth into a satirical expression of a multicultural community immersed in a conflict with itself.
