Soundbite: Partridge String Quartet

Soundbites are hour long lunch time concerts curated and performed by ANAM musicians. Throughout the year, these concerts feature diverse solo and chamber repertoire giving you an indication of what our musicians are working on at the time.

The Partridge String Quartet RETURNS! Fresh off the break after their exciting performance in the final of the 2017 ANAM chamber music competition, the Partridge String Quartet are back to offer an eclectic platter of musical hors d'oeuvres. This selection includes the blissful romanticism of a young Mendelssohn to the quirky but spine-tingling Serialism of 20th century Austrian composer Anton Webern. To top it off, in theme with ANAM's 2018 homage to Claude Debussy, a collaboration with a trio of clarinet, flute and harp to perform the hypnotic and soothing impressionistic work by Maurice Ravel- Introduction and Allegro.

Performance to be followed by complimentary tea and coffee and an opportunity to meet the musicians.
