ANAM Recitals enable each ANAM musician to make their own personal musical statement, through performance, repertoire and presentation.
I've decided that you are likely to become a significant composer if your surname starts with 'B'! Out of this formidable lineage - of Beethovens, Bergs, Bachs, and Bartóks - I will be presenting the music of two representatives; and though originating in very different centuries, at times these works may also share a similarity of emotion! In Barber's Violin Concerto (1st and 2nd movts) and Brahms' Sonata for piano and violin op. 100, I hope you'll enjoy the moments of warmth, singing lyricism, and depth of feeling they both have to offer. Along with this, my program will also feature the cheerful first movement of Mozart's Violin Concerto no. 4 in D major.
