Hardenberger's Brass Explorations

One of the greatest instrumentalists of our time, Håkan Hardenberger is renowned for his performance of the classics of the trumpet repertoire, and as a pioneer of significant new music. In this compelling exploration of showpieces for brass, Hardenberger will both perform alongside and direct ANAM musicians in a program which will encompass a landmark work for brass and percussion, the Symphony by American composer and conductor Gunther Schuller and a work Hardenberger himself premiered, Confrontation by Swedish composer Benjamin Staern.

Program to include:
STAERN Confrontation for trumpet and brass quintet
SCHULLER Symphony for brass and percussion
LINDBERG Ottoni for brass ensemble
BERNSTEIN Suite from West Side Story arr. Eric Crees for brass ensemble
