Diana Doherty: The Happy Workshop

Virtuoso oboist Diana Doherty leads Strauss’ ebullient symphony for 16 wind instruments The Happy Workshop from 1945. Offering a contrast, Paavali Jumppanen and Zoë Black lead ANAM musicians in a performance of a dark masterwork from 20 years later, Polish composer Gra┼╝yna Bacewicz’s Piano Quintet No. 2.
