Great Romantics

Two great iconic Romantic composers that will capture your hearts with some of the most glorious melodies ever written for the violin. Mendelssohn’s concerto is no doubt recognised as an absolute staple in all violin repertoire, and it is so obvious why this concerto is deemed as one of the best in violin concerto history. The sonata, written within a decade of the Mendelssohn concerto, similarly displays his incredible skills in motific writing, and his sonatas are also a definitive staple in violin repertoire. Let the melodies of these masterful composers transport you into an absolute glorious journey where the violin can truly sing.

"Each movement that I come across to in my practise reminds myself why I love the violin, and it feels so exciting to be able to throw myself into two works that every aspiring violinist always dream of playing. I can’t wait to bring it all together for my recital to present the mastery of these two works." - Olivia Kowalik
