ANAM Recital: Nicola Robinson (horn)

ANAM Recitals are an opportunity for musicians to make their own personal musical statement, through performance, repertoire and presentation.

Of this Recital, Nicola says: "Earlier this year, when in the midst of a federal election campaign, Greens leader Adam Bandt said that an election is a 'contest of ideas'. At the time I was starting to choose my recital repertoire and this got me thinking about what a recital is and how I could best put together a program that is not only exciting for me to play, but also one that an audience can connect with and enjoy. So, I thought that perhaps a recital could be a marriage of ideas. With this in mind I've chosen four pieces; something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue to fit in with this theme."
