ANAM Recital: Johnny van Gend (violin)

ANAM Recitals are an opportunity for each ANAM musician to make their own personal musical statement, through performance, repertoire and presentation.
A varied offering of much-loved staples of the violin repertoire.

I have always had a varied taste in music, so for my first ANAM recital I wanted to include a work from each of the four major musical historical periods: Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and 20th Century. I look forward to the challenge of switching between four different 'musical hats', for the four distinct styles of the composers, and I hope that it will provide an interesting overview of the development of composition for violin over a period of around 220 years.
