ANAM Recital: Cassandra Slater (flute)

SLATER, Cassandra
ANAM Recitals are an opportunity for each ANAM musician to make their own personal musical statement, through performance, repertoire and presentation.
A journey through 20th century flute music

I invite you to embark on a musical exploration of 20th century flute repertoire. We will begin with French composer Guillaume Connesson's Le Rire de Saraï, then continuing onwards to the Australian soundscape of Carl Vine in his Sonata for flute and piano. The program will finish on the plains of Denmark with Carl Nielsen's Concerto for flute. All of this will be collaborating with the inimitable Leigh Harrold, whose playing will bring these pieces to life. We hope you can join us on this journey.
