ANAM Recitals enable each musician to make their own personal musical statement, through performance, repertoire and presentation.
Mids, Highs and Lows
I chose this selection of works because for me these pieces capture the three fundamental flavours and characters of the horn. The Mozart is clean, cheeky and polite, the Neuling is boisterous, loud, low and gritty, and the Beethoven is glossy, intricate, soulful and at times reflective of the hunting horn roots of the instrument. These three pieces combine to make up a sort of tapas for horn repertoire that I hope y’all will enjoy.
