Piano Four Hands (Sydney)

Beyond the Town Hall
ANAM Resident Piano Faculty and Head of Chamber Music, Timothy Young takes the ANAM Pianists on tour to Sydney

This performance features Carl Vine's Sonata for four hands which is played in five sections, without a break. Vine says “using those two extra hands which, by playing on the same instrument, have a distinct advantage over their 'duo' brethren”. It is 'pure' music with no specific accompanying narrative or poetic allusion.
