Mostly Mozart 2: Mozart Dances

An hour of classical masterpieces performed by the ANAM Musicians and guest artists with the chance to catch up with friends over a cup of tea.

Stefan Dohr, principal horn of the Berlin Philharmonic joins this morning concert of bold, brassy and beautiful music. The grand opening work, American composer Aaron Copland’s best known composition Fanfare for the Common Man is an inspiring work that sets the heart racing. Mozart’s Quintet for horn and strings is full of gentle, amiable music and has been compared to a miniature horn concerto. If you’re still sitting down then the infectious rhythms and glorious melodies of Bernstein’s West Side Story will surely get your toes tapping.
