GLORIES OF THE FRENCH BAROQUE

BRENDA RAE SINGS RAMEAU
Suites and Arias from Tragédies en musique, Opéra-ballets and Comédies lyriques by Jean-Philippe Rameau

Audiences from Vienna and Paris to New York and Glyndebourne have fallen in love with Brenda Rae, and now it is Australia's turn to see what all the excitement is about. The stunning young American coloratura has won accolades for her golden soprano, and now, in partnership with Melbourne Recital Centre and in association with Melbourne Festival, she joins the ANAM Orchestra for her exclusive Australian debut. A vocal feast, offering some exquisite treasures from the master of the French baroque, Jean-Philippe Rameau. Pulling it all together is Australian conductor Benjamin Bayl who returns home from an impressive list of engagements overseas to share his extensive experience in early music with our up and coming young musicians.

Program to include arias and music from:
Les Paladins
Castor et Pollux
