ANAM is proud to have an international reputation for training the very best young classical musicians. This reputation has led to partnerships with major orchestral Academies in Europe as part of ANAM’s International Academy Program including:
MAHLER CHAMBER ORCHESTRA ACADEMY
Since 2009, the MCO Academy has offered an educational model that provided young musicians with a high-quality orchestral experience and a unique platform for networking and international exchange. In additional to audition training, individual coaching and orchestral playing, the Academy also includes chamber music workshops which emphasise the MCO’s characteristic chamber music approach to music-making.
Orchestral instrumentalist from the following training Academies are invited to audition in April each year for the MCO Academy: Orchesterzentrum | NRW, Jove Orquestra Nacional de Catalunya (JONC), Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM), Filarmónica Joven de Colombia (FJC), and Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM). Auditions are via audio/visual recording for ANAM musicians, performing a set list of orchestral excerpts and set work/s.
