2019 MusiciansJasmine Baric

Jasmine is a sensitive and passionate violinist, who is thrilled to have been given the opportunity to return to the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) in 2019 to continue her training.

Born in Coffs Harbour, but spending much of her formative years in Hobart, Tasmania, where she studied under the tutelage of Rachel Bremner of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, she began to shine as a musician with incredible potential. Upon her return to New South Wales, this potential was formally recognised and she soon became part of the Rising Stars Program at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under the masterful eye of Dr Robin Wilson. These timely interactions with quality tutors have seen Jasmine develop into a seasoned performer much to the delight of audiences both young and old.

Jasmine is credited with many competitive award-winning performances. Highlights include winning the Junior and Players’ Choice sections of the NSW/ACT Secondary Schools Concerto Competition, as well as winning the Hobart and Sydney Eisteddfod categories.

Jasmine has performed in the Kendall National Violin Competition and as a soloist at the Sydney Opera House. She was appointed as Associate Concertmaster of the Australian Youth Orchestra in 2017, and has been a member of the Australian Chamber Orchestra Academy. Jasmine enjoys orchestral work as well as performing as a chamber musician, and aspires to employment as a permanent member of a professional orchestra upon completion of her studies.
