After receiving the Delano Music Scholarship, Freya completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Western Australia under the tuition of Robert Gladstones, before graduating with a Graduate Diploma of Music Performance from the Queensland Conservatorium where she studied with Peter Luff, Ysolt Clark and Malcolm Stewart.
Freya was a member of the WA Youth Orchestra from 2013-2015, and has also participated in a number of Australian Youth Orchestra (AYO) programs, including the 2016 International Tour to Europe and China, performing in the position of Principal Horn throughout the AYO's 2017 programs, as well as participating in a number of recording and performance programs with the AYO Momentum Ensemble.
Freya has performed as a casual musician with the Queensland, Adelaide and West Australian Symphony Orchestras, along with Camerata - Queensland's Chamber Orchestra.
In 2019 Freya will be commencing her second year of study at the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) with SSO Principal Horn Ben Jacks.

“I used to be do lifesaving for surf competitions. I also went to open water long distance swims, which was my favourite. Another thing: I had to help evacuate North Cottesloe beach once, due to a shark sighting.”
