MusiciansScott McDougall

Scott McDougall has recently completed a Bachelor of Music at the Sydney Conservatorium under the tutelage of Bernadette Harvey, Gerard Willems and Phillip Shovk, where he received the Dorothy-Ryder Phillips award for piano performance. 
 
Scott has experience in a wide variety of performance settings including orchestral, chamber and solo playing. In 2019 his trio won the Henderson Travellers Scholarship which took him to Finland studying with the Storioni Trio at the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival, Markus Becker (Hannover), and Wayne Forster-Smith (Hanns-Eisler Berlin). He has participated in various Australian Youth Orchestra programs since 2017 including a chamber players program curated by Piers Lane and National Music Camps held in Adelaide each year. He performed in international concert pianist Freddy Kempf’s masterclass at the Sydney Opera House. 
 
Scott is excited to commence training at the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) with Timothy Young in 2023
