Born in Sydney, Emily is currently in her third and final year at the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM), studying with Dr Robin Wilson. Emily obtained a Bachelor of Music Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under the tutelage of Janet Davies in 2018 and was previously a music scholar at Ravenswood School for Girls, graduating in 2014.

Emily has been a member of the Australian Youth Orchestra every year since 2014, having toured Europe and China in 2016 and 2019. She was a member of the Sydney Youth Orchestras for 10 years and was Concertmaster of the Flagship Orchestra in 2016 and 2017.  Aside from performing, Emily is also a passionate music educator, both as a private violin teacher as well as orchestral tutor at the NSW Public Schools Arts Unit, at events such as State Music Camp, Schools Spectacular and the 2018 UK/Ireland Tour.

Emily has a love for chamber music and has travelled to Italy, Germany, Austria and the UK to study with pedagogues such as Eberhard Feltz, Johannes Meissl and Tobias Lea with her quartet colleagues. She has enjoyed performing for members of the Dover, Takács and Borodin String Quartets, as well as masterclasses with Ray Chen, Midori Gotō, Karen Gomyo, Isabelle van Keulen and Anthony Marwood.

Aside from violin, Emily also loves to cook (and eat!!).
