Missing this face? Timothy recently left ANAM to further pursue his music career.
Sydney-born French horn player Timothy Skelly completed his Bachelor of Music at the Sydney Conservatorium before attending the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) from 2015 to August 2016. In September 2016 he moved to New York, USA to perform with The Orchestra Now Orchestral program at Bard College. Highlights from his time in New York include studying with Julia Pilant and Michelle Reed-Baker of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, and performances at Carnegie Hall, and Jazz at Lincoln Centre. In 2018, Timothy will be returning to Melbourne to complete his Third Year at ANAM.
Timothy’s professional experience includes performances with the Melbourne and Sydney Symphony Orchestras, Orchestra Victoria with the Australian Ballet, and a trial period with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. After a few trips to Europe while living in the States, Timothy hopes to return to Germany to pursue further study after the conclusion of his ANAM studies.
