Eunise is currently a second-year viola student at the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) from Perth. She grew up in a musical family beginning her studies on the violin and piano at the age of five. Eunise attended Perth College on a music scholarship where she swapped to viola at the end of high school under Olga Seregeyeva. Eunise went on to finish her undergraduate studies on viola at the University of Western Australia (UWA) under Tzvi Friedl, where she became a recipient of the Woodside Viola Scholarship, Wesley Mission Perth Music Scholarship, Flora Bunning Memorial Prize and Margaret Bello Memorial Prize.
In 2015, Eunise relocated to Melbourne attaining her Bachelor of Music Performance with First Class Honours at the University of Melbourne Conservatorium Of Music (UMCM) under Fiona Sargeant as a recipient of the Kate Flowers Scholarship and Corinna D’Hage Mayer String Scholarship. She was selected for the AYO/MSO String Fellowship in 2015 and has had the privilege of performing as Viola Principal in orchestras around Australia at UWA, WAYO, UMCM, AYO (NMC), ANAM, RMPO and Associate Principal for AISOI and AYO. Last year, Eunise participated on the AYO International Tour with Manfred Honeck and Helene Grimaud around Europe, China and Australia and had a great time performing with the TSO in October.
An active chamber musician, Eunise was mentored and performed alongside the Australian String Quartet as part of the Quartet Project in 2013. She also performed in ANAM Quartetthaus for the Perth International Arts Festival 2013, Mimir Chamber Music Festival 2015, AYO Chamber Players from 2014-2016 including the Musica Viva Festival, and appeared in masterclasses with violist Maxim Rysanov, the Takacs, Borodin, Goldner, Doric, Elias, Tinalley and Jerusalem String Quartets, Eggner Trio and Trio Dali. This year, Eunise is completing the Griffith/ANAM Masters of Music Research Program and is excited to be involved in as many performances within and outside ANAM. In her spare time, Eunise enjoys travelling, relaxing with her family, having fun with friends and eating ice cream.
